Outlook Setup for macOS

This guide will walk you through the steps to setup your IMAP email account for Microsoft Outlook on your MacBook.

1. Launch Outlook on your Mac.

If you do not have any accounts setup yet, skip to step 5

2. Select Preferences from the Outlook menu at the top left.

3. Select Accounts.

4. Select Add Email Account

5. Enter your email address and press Continue

6. Outlook will automatically assume it us using an Exchange mail server, so you must click on Not Exchange.

7. Select IMAP/POP at the bottom.

8. Enter the following information:

  • Type — Select IMAP
  • Email Address — Enter your email address
  • Username — Enter your email address
  • Password — Enter your account password
  • Incoming Server — Enter secure.emailsrvr.com
  • Incoming Server Port — Enter 993
  • You must check Use SSL to connect
  • Outgoing Server — Enter secure.emailsrvr.com
  • Outgoing Server Port — Enter 465
  • You must check Use SSL to connect

Once completed, click Add Account

Please note the incoming and outgoing mail servers both need to be set, and the host name to be used contains the words “email server” without the “e” characters in the word “server”.
9. Once it says your account has been added, you can click Done

Your email should now be all set up. It may take a few minutes for your emails to sync.
